Music Teacher's Helper - Your music studio manager

How to read articles for free

Wed November 14th, 2007 by agould

If you are like me, buying numerous subscriptions to all of the music magazines you could be interested in would really break the bank. Plus, who has the time to hunt for articles on the topics that you are interested in. On a recent internet hunt, I found a helpful site that has access to articles from several music magazines and it is all free.

Accessmylibrary.com is a site created by Gale Technologies. A long time provider of searchable databases to schools and libraries. This information is now available to the public online. To access the database you just need to register for free one time. Then you can search millions of articles, magazines and journals to find the information you are looking for. You can also look under collections to view publications by category. There are thirteen publications in the music collection.

American Music Teacher

American Record Guide

Black Music Research Journal

Brahms Studies

Computer Music Journal

Guitar Player

Journal of Popular Culture

Music Week

Notes

Opera News

Perspectives of New Music

Popular Music and Society

Sensible Sound

With this site you can save time and money and still get access to many of the publications that you would like to use. Happy hunting!
