This month we have launched a new feature on Music Teacher’s Helper to make it easier to remind students to pay for invoices. If you’ve ever sent your students an invoice from Music Teacher’s Helper’s, or used our options to receive on-line payments from your students, you’ve probably noticed that students pay a lot more regularly and on time. But occasionally, you might run across a student that needs a bit more prodding. That’s why we’ve added Automatic Overdue Invoice Notifications. If you enable this option under Settings -> E-mail Notifications, then your students will get a reminder if they don’t make a payment after a certain number of days past the due date. (You can set how long after the due date you want the reminder sent.)
Keep in mind that since Music Teacher’s Helper doesn’t apply payments directly to invoices, but to the student’s account, the system assumes that it’s the last invoice that’s due. So a reminder will only be sent if no payments have been made since the last invoice was sent. Also, the reminders are only sent once. If that’s not enough, it’s probably time to have a little talk with the student.

Bug Fixes
- Advanced Search options now stay on the screen after doing an advanced search. Available search fields look better now, too.
- Fixed some issues with the Google calendar sync feature. Should be faster now as well.
- E-mail Templates using a the date variable now format properly based on the date format selected in your settings.
- Paypal’s return to merchant link after making a payment now takes you to a valid page.
- Fixed a calculation with sales tax from income on the Income / Expense report.
- Fixed an error that sometimes occurred when adding items to the Repertoire Tracker.
- Some wrong names were showing up in e-mail history. This is now fixed.
- If you switch from paying by credit card to Paypal, the correct payment method is now selected by default on the My Account page.
- Fixed rare bug where events were deleted when trying to delete an event that was already deleted – happened w/2+ browser tabs open.
