As many of you know, we have been working for over two years on a new product similar to Music Teacher’s Helper, specifically designed for studios with multiple teachers. It’s called Studio Helper, and it’s available now! To get a 30-day free trial, go to www.StudioHelper.com.
Studio Helper does much of what Music Teacher’s Helper does, but on a larger scale, allowing you to track the schedules of multiple teachers, see how much each teacher has taught, and create line-by-line invoices for complete financial control. If you have staff members or a secretary, they can also login and access the portions of the program you want them to see. We’ve included options for taxes, including International standards to meet the needs of those outside the USA.
Studios wishing to migrate from Music Teacher’s Helper to Studio Helper can easily transfer their student contact information over to Studio Helper. However, we do not yet have the ability to transfer financial information or calendar schedules. You can export these from Music Teacher’s Helper, but there is not yet a way to import them into Studio Helper. This is coming soon.
Studio Helper does not come with a free studio website as does Music Teacher’s Helper, but can integrate a student registration form with your existing website, if you have one.
We plan to run Studio Helper on the same principle we’ve been running Music Teacher’s Helper for years – that is, we welcome all feedback and suggestions and tailor the program according to what the majority of our customers want. So if Studio Helper doesn’t yet have all the features you want right now (it’s pretty new, so this might be the case), then let us know what you want so we can put it in!
If you run a studio with multiple teachers, you’re going to love Studio Helper! Sign up for the free trial today at www.StudioHelper.com!
About the Author
Brandon Pearce is a piano teacher, choral director, computer programmer, and entrepreneur from Murray, Utah, and is also the creator of Music Teacher's Helper.
As his teaching studio grew, he found it increasingly difficult to keep track of how much each student owed. Having recently received a B.S. in Computer Science from Weber State University, he decided to write a web-based computer program to manage billing and scheduling in his studio. Realizing that he wasn't alone in his studio management frustrations, he soon made the service available to other teachers. And they loved it! Since 2003, several additional programmers, and thousands of teachers from around the world have participated in creating the world-class studio management software you know today as Music Teacher's Helper.
Brandon currently spends his time managing and improving Music Teacher's Helper, traveling with his family, and writing hymn arrangements for piano. He is also the assistant director of the Oratorio Society of Utah, a 90+ year old choral organization that performs Handle's Messiah each year, as well as other choral masterworks.
